Built by: Easy Breadcrumb
The title of this page is History of the company and its founders. Its crumb reads History of the Company and It...: capitalized, then cut at 32 characters.
The pattern
Title shaping: every crumb is given the same capitalization, and long ones are cut to a fixed length, so the trail stays consistent and on one line.
When to use it
Sites where titles are cased inconsistently, and layouts with little room for the trail, such as narrow columns or mobile.
How it is configured
- At Configuration › User interface › Easy breadcrumb, under Advanced settings, set Transformation mode for the segments' titles to ucwords, which capitalizes each word.
- Under Words to be ignored by the 'capitalizator', list the words that stay lowercase:
of and or the a. - Tick Truncate the page's title to a maximum number, set Set the limit of truncation to 32, and tick The truncated page's title will have 3 dots in its end.
The capitalizator rewrites every crumb, real page titles included: About us is shown as About Us. Choose ucfirst or none if your titles are already cased the way you want.
