Frequently asked questions

Built by: Easy Breadcrumb

The URL is /help/faq, but the trail is Home › About Us › Support › Frequently Asked Questions. Nothing in it comes from the URL.

The pattern

Hand-written trail for one path: a fixed list of crumbs replaces whatever the URL would give.

When to use it

A few exceptions on a site whose trails otherwise come from the URL: a page that keeps an old or campaign URL but belongs to another section.

How it is configured

  1. At Configuration › User interface › Easy breadcrumb, add a line to Paths to replace with custom breadcrumbs:
    /help/faq :: About Us | /about :: Support :: <title>
  2. The path comes first, then the crumbs, separated by ::. Title | /path is a linked crumb, a title alone is plain text, and <title> is the title of the current page.

Links written in custom paths are always absolute URLs. For more than a handful of pages, or for trails that need tokens, a Custom Breadcrumbs path rule is easier to maintain.
