The pattern
Category tree on content: a taxonomy term field is expanded into the term and all its parents, each linked to its term page.
When to use it
Content filed under a hierarchical category that its URL does not carry, such as projects by department or articles by topic.
How it is configured
- At Structure › Custom breadcrumbs, add a Content entity rule for Content, Project.
- Breadcrumb paths:
/projects <term_hierarchy:field_category> <nolink> - Breadcrumb titles:
Projects Category [node:title] <term_hierarchy:field_category>becomes one crumb per term, from the top of the vocabulary down, titled with the term names. Its title line, Category, is not shown, but it must be there: a path without a title is ignored.
